In France, A2Ch, a subsidiary of the ACCEO group, has been specialising since 2007 in diagnoses and consulting in the accessibility of public places and local authorities to disabled people. And the gamble quickly paid off since the company can boast double-figure growth over the past two years and has secured a real competitive edge by offering its customers a broader range of services and a veritable accessibility decision aid.

A combination of functionality and ruggedness allows the Ikôn from Psion Teklogix to play a key role in Cardiff Council’s recently upgraded Waste & Recycling Manager System (WRMS) supplied by Waste & Recycling Solutions Ltd (WRS).

After a first satisfactory trial in 2007 at the VIP stand in Spa Francorchamps, the organisers of the Formula 1 race in Belgium decided to turn to RFIDEA, a designer of built-in RFID solutions, to deploy an innovative yet secure solution to greet and control the access of all the visitors coming to the circuit for the 2008 Belgium championship (5 to 7 September 2008). RFIDEA, which designed the solution, accomplished its mission along with its technological partners: Toshiba Tec for the printing of 300,000 tickets with RFID tags, and Psion Teklogix which set up and provided 80 WORKABOUT PRO handheld terminals equipped with a HF RFID reader.
