A combination of functionality and ruggedness allows the Ikôn from Psion Teklogix to play a key role in Cardiff Council’s recently upgraded Waste & Recycling Manager System (WRMS) supplied by Waste & Recycling Solutions Ltd (WRS).
(...)After a first satisfactory trial in 2007 at the VIP stand in Spa Francorchamps, the organisers of the Formula 1 race in Belgium decided to turn to RFIDEA, a designer of built-in RFID solutions, to deploy an innovative yet secure solution to greet and control the access of all the visitors coming to the circuit for the 2008 Belgium championship (5 to 7 September 2008). RFIDEA, which designed the solution, accomplished its mission along with its technological partners: Toshiba Tec for the printing of 300,000 tickets with RFID tags, and Psion Teklogix which set up and provided 80 WORKABOUT PRO handheld terminals equipped with a HF RFID reader.
